Default Tensioner and Roller

Hi, I wanna change my S80 (2.9 non Turbo) Drive belt Tensioner, Timing belt Tensioner(Only Roller) and Timing belt roller.

My question is do I need to take care cam shaft notches to align timing belt or do I need to take of the belt to change the timing Tensioner?

Will appreciate if any one of you have step by step instructions.

I would align the marks. It isn't like it takes long. Why not replace the belt at the same time?

Timing belt and camshaft seals has been change 15000 KM ago.

But now I am very much concerned to change Drive belt tensioner and Timing belt tensioner/roller. At least how easy it to change drive belt tensioner???

I did change PCV box, starter etc ...so have some idea to play around.

So the belt was done but not the rest of the kit? Strange.

Tensioner is easy. There are different styles but each one is easy. Two bolts I believe.

Do I need to take off the whole tensioner or just the roller over it which have 14mm bolt I think....which release the drive belt. ..... fcpeuro does sale roller separately and also sales with tensioner....since car is less then 200,000 KM .....so I think if i can only change the roller..it does gives sound on cold start....

Volvo doesn't sell it separately but if you found one aftermarket, that's up to you

But if I put the aftermarket, do I need to take off the whole tensioner to replace it or just a roller?

Thanks

I don't know, you'd have to look at it. I don't deal with aftermarket parts. I just replace the tensioner if it's bad.

Sherry!! It is not that difficult, just take off the serpentine belt and unbolt the roller anti clock wise and replace it. That is it.
