Well, I'm thinking for a cleaner and more sporty look, I'd like to update the front end of my car with the 2004 and later eggcrate grille, as well with the lower grille fascia & xenon headlamps that have the black accents around them.

Are there any other exterior updates that were updated for 2004? Like to just update it to look like the updated model is all. And does it all just bolt in place from the original stuff or were there any changes to the way they were mounted...etc.

And what are the factory part numbers so I can find the parts I will need to do this project? Going to see what I can find as far as pricing goes but I need the factory #'s first.

Heck, if I do this and I'm happy, I might update the interior with the nicer steering wheel & aluminumgauge cluster; add some of the factory options like the nav system or the sunshade. Who knows.

 

Was thinking of doing this myself. But 04 bumpers not easy to find in the UK.
I have a brand new egg crate grille still in the Volvo box that I would be willing to sell
if your intrested.

 

haha i was thinking on doing the same thing with my 01 s80 t6, but i just want to change all the black trim to white trim....

 

i wanna do the exact same thing to mine! I know the front and rear bumpers are different on 04+ for sure. But i think if you just pain the upper black trim (leave the lower black, the 04 is black too), change the grill and put on the new lights/tail lamps i'd be perfect! Have you done any research on pricing the project? I don't think you can just have the black ones sprayed, the rought plastic texture would show bad... probably have to get ones from a junk yard... pretty hard to find all intact probably on a car that new.

 

Well if your going to get the trim painted it would need to be prepped. And that requiars sanding. Thusly smoothing it out some.

 

You need to give us an update on this project. How would you be able to put a new 04 grille on? Could you send us some pictures of your work?
