Default Tips on general maintenance on S80

Hi.. ...

Just want to know if anyone there has any tips on Oiling/Geasing the S80..
that will help in No or Min squeaking all around the car?
I.e. is there a need to put a bit of grease on the pulley's, shock absorbers etc? which will help in smooth/silent running on the vehicle..

PS: I seem to getting bit of squeaking sound around the car, but not able to loacte where the sound is originating...

Any pointer?

Thanks
SS

did you listen to the accessory belt ? it could be that, the bearings in the pulley could have worn out,

when is it happening ? all the time ? cold vs warm ? suspension when hitting bumps ?

I don't mean to assume anything, but are you sure that the sounds are coming from the suspention components or "pulleys"? It is very difficult to locate some sounds in a moving car
Try completely empting the car - the Glove box, center console, door pockets, seat back pockets, under the seats, trunk. I mean everything, even things you know couldn't possibly squeek. Check your spare/jack/tools for looseness.
Then drive it, it's frequently dead silent after this "treatment". Then think about what you put back in (bet you leave half of it out!).
