Default Trouble Starting also a strong Fuel Smell

It takes a lot of cranks to get started. If you quit turning the key and hit it again it starts up. Also the cars in the garage and the garage smells like gas bad. In ideas and help would be greatly appreciated.

Usually that is a bad fuel pump.
Some places the warranty is extended have it checked.

It is a 99 with 120,000 miles. It is my wife's car she took it to the dealer. They never said anything about warranty. How can you tell.

that repair should be under warranty, they extended the warranty on the fuel pump. I think it was 10 years 150k or something like that... I got the letter in the mail about it..

You might be out by time if it is a 99 but I would call with the Vin# and ask if there is any open recalls on the car and also ask if it is still in time for the fuel pump extended warranty.

My 2001 S60 is doing the same thing. Is this model still under warranty?

ETA: I think I found my answer...
