Thanks for your advice--oil was leaking under the cover on top of engine --coil packs were covered --mechanic said it was crankcase ventilation problem had th car for week, said it was done-drove the car for aweek -went to check the oil and clean up the engine --ran my fingers under the turbo pipes and came out with oil---the oil where the coil packs are was dry--dont know what he did allthe bolts and screws looked like they were never touched --seem to me whatever he did --the oil problem was deverted to another part of the engine--now he tells me that one of the turbos are bad--already have 2450.00 invested a lot of other things poped up after the worked was done--told me the serp. belt and tensioner was bad --new timming belt and tensioner water pump--brake booster and master cylinder--now i have an error code P0011 & P0014--could be the camshaft position sensor---misalignment of the timming belt--or too much oil going to the vvt dont know what tht is--still stuck---thanks for your advice---buzz

wjs191 crankcase ventilation problem happens when your PCV Oil trap gets clogged.
Anyway, first think you need to do change the mechanic and try to find the best one, referenced mechanic will be preferred.
While engine hot take the dip stick out and see if there is any smoking coming out.
Since you have posted too many problems which I am sure your mechanic did. Always before giving car to mechanic show him the dashboard error messages.
Do not drive the car since there is Timing belt misalignment, but meanwhile do try to find a reputed Volvo mechanic.
