Default turbo return seal oil leak s80 t6 '2000

Has anyone done this before?

I removed top cross bar. Then I removed the driver side heat shield. I tried reach my hand down to feel where the area was. I could not see anything.

How should approach my next step? Thanks.

take a look from the underneath to get your bearings. Are you doing turbo #1, #2 or both?

I have oil leaks. Leak appears to be coming from turbo return seal on dirver side. From the bottom, I can see the passenger side oil return pipe, where leak is not that much. The driver side leak seems to be a few drops over night when parked. If I drive, the leak is worse. Some posts here say that the driver side leak (oil return pipe) can be reached from top.

I reached down with my hand below the driver side turbo charger but did not really feel oil. But I cannot see where else--unless oil leak from the passenger side travels to the driver side and drops.

Not sure how to get there..

It may also be leaking at the orings where the pipes join the block. How does that area look. If you shine a flashlight up there and move around you should be able to see the drain pipes for both turbos if I remember correctly. Driver side one is a b1tch though.

Thanks. I will try to take a look again this weekend. I could not see the driver side turbo drain pipe.
