Default Window Regulator '04 S80 T6

A while back I had problems with my Front drivers door window regulator.
I was able to get it fixed, temporarily but now I need to replace the regulator. I am looking at regulators and wanted to go with a Dorman aftermarket since they are designed a bit more rigid, I'm told then the original which is pretty flimsly and is easily bent. My question is was there a change in design at or after a certain VIN number?. I found one that is new with motor but the listing says it only fits VIN from 362269. My car's VIN is 359738. Maybe just the motor is different? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Mike

Where the heck did you find a Dorman with the motor included? I can only find them without the motor and cant get an answer from any aftermarket sellers if Im supposed to use the original motor?

Mine is an 06 S60 front passenger side that drops the glass as soon as I hit the switch; its a pita to get it closed again.

Garth
It was actually a used "new" one from a junkyard, probably just installed before the car was junked.
I just went through this . If your motor still works fine then the problem seems to always be the slider clips that hold the regulator arms to the glass track. You have to go inside the door to do them but if you are careful and don't bend the arms of the regulator, like I did, you can just replace the clips, they are inexpensive. It's quite a fiddle to do but it's doable.
The stock regulator is quite flimsly and can twist or bend easily so care must be taken while doing the job.
AS for the fitment of the regulator I am thinking the motor must have changed during production. I would think though if they are selling a Dorman one to fit your vehicle the original motor should work but the junkie I am dealing with tells me there was a changeover????? Maybe something with the plug on it or??
