I've had this issue for a while now and have found that there is no fuel pressure. I can see that there is a fuel pump under the back passenger seat but how do i get the seat out to remove. if I spray starting fluid into the intake the car starts and runs untill i let off the spray. it led me to believe that there was no fuel going to the motor. i replaced the fuel filter, it was very bad, but now i want to check the fuel pump. is there any way to check it while in place.

 

If you have a fuel pressure guage you can check it.
Or disconnect the fuel filter and turn the key on and see if gas comes out.
The pump will run for about 5 seconds the shut off which is normal.

The seat bottom just pulls up.
Then you will need to remove the seat back as well to get to the pump.
The side piece between the seat back and the door area is a pain to get out.
Fold the seat down and pull the carpeted panel from behind the leather panel.
Look in and you will see 2 tabs that slide into a metal retainer. You will have to push both tabs and lift up at the same time.

Once that is out there is a 14mm screw holding the seat back in. Unplug the plug remove screw then slide the seat out towards the door and remove.

Lift up the rubber mat and look for the access panel. Then once removed you will see the pump.

 

Hey Tech thanks for the Info. I just finished testing the pump outside the car and it works and found that the wireing to the fuel pump inside the tank are not getting power to the pump. So, pump is OK but getting no power. Is there a Fuel pumpcut off switch /solinoid that stops the fuel pump power if so were is it ?. can I hot wire and bypass the soliniod to see if it is in deed the issue.

Tech you are the MAN! Thanks for the infoI really needed to get it started and it appears that the fuel relay was the issue.The diagram you sent really helped me out and saved me a lot of headache I have been trouble shooting the last two weeks!! Thanks again.
