Annoying service light.
A few days ago I noticed the "service" light go off in my "98.
My mechanic says that it isn't something that he can clear and that I would have to go to the dealership and get it cleared.
To be honest I'm not about to the dealership and pay a ridiculous amount for them to clear something that takes more than 5 seconds to do.
HELP!

My '97 has a small plug in the instrument cluster. I remove the plug, insert a paper clip or something to reset the service light, then put the plug back in. Not sure if yours is the same.
