Backfire blows intake off engine

Backfire blows intake off engine
Has anyone heard of this?
I have a 98 s90. Car has always ran great with no big issues. After fueling up today, I go to start up the car and have a loud explosion under the hood. At first inspection I see 3-4 vacuum lines have been blown off. A closer look shows that all 6 rubber intake boots have separated from the engine. Any info on what may have caused this would be greatly appreciated.
