I just had a head gasket put on at my local Volvo shop and everything seemed to be fine, however...
after driving it a couple hundred miles I went to back out of a parking spot and it jerked a little and the check engine light came on along with the upshift light on the dash panel, I looked down at the lights beside the gear selector for the winter, sport and economy buttons and they were flashing from one to the next, it runs ok but acts like its in low gear or something,
Anyone have any clue if this was something maybe to do with the head gasket replacement? or what it might be

 

could be the ABS computer or a speed sensor etc. First step is to get the check engine light OBD2 codes scanned. Any time you have mechanical work done, there's a chance a wire or connector got wacked and needs to be checked out.
