Problem with Strut Shock Relacement.
Hey guys,
I am replacing the strut shocks on my 850 Turbo. Everything went well with removing the stut assembly from the car and removing the spring coil. However I went to put the coil spring back on the new strut shock but the sping coil was not vertical so I could not get everything to line up properly. Looking at the spring compressors they were not 180 degress apart from each other. The questions is what do I do now?

You could always loosen the spring compressors (carefully) and then reposition and recompress the spring. Be sure to replace the compressors in such a way that you can free them after the strut assembly is back together.

Thanks for the sugesstion. I would prefer to remove them but am afraid the springs might be too long uncompressed. Does Does any one know how long the springs are without any comression?
Sorry never measured. If you can install a heavy strap or a chain on the springs them compress more. If one of the copmpressors slide the chain should hold.
Is there much of a difference between the 2 struts?
They should swap over no problem. If it came loose on the old one it should fit on the new one.
