I am new here and I have a 2019 S90 that I bought from the original owner and have had close to a year. I was comming up on my 40K service and all the sudden I had the start/stop error message come up and told my guy at Volvo amd he said it was the battery and he would swap it out whil my car was being servied. Up to this time my S90 media NEVER had a problem remembering (to always be set to Sirrus XM and Applecarplay, that is ALL I ever use) until now! I have been on the phone with Volvo numerous times went back to Volvo and had a sales guy help me and it fixes for a while and then goes on its own switching to dumb *** terristrial radio staion FM or AM from Sirrus!!!!!! I have cleared the WHOLE system back to factory setting went back in and saved the profile and locked it even and it will keep it liike i have it set and then I will come out maybe a couple hours later and ALL my setting are saved but it will be BACK on FM??? It's beyond annoying and it NEVER did this for close to a year until I had it into the dealer for its 40K! I know this isn't a major problem, but for the price of these cars and it wasn't designed to just ***** nilly decide on its own, "I bet the owner of this car will want it on FM and not Sirrus!" It just pisses me off and I have tried everything fo get this fixed. Side note, all the time I had my car and every preset and such worked properly I never even knew anything about setting up a profile. When I bought the car I just adjusted the seats and saved them on the door and had Sirrus activated and saved my favorites, no problem at all never once had I had a problem of it switching to FM! Also, after I did my FACTORY RESET why would it still remember my home link garage door, and My Sirrus XM saved Favorites when I went home that day after doing the factory reset??? Is tis a feature of Volvo's so whenI sell my car the new owner can come over to my house and get into my garage when they need??? When I have did a factory reset on any of the other luxary cars I have owned it deletes EVERYTHING, even the garage code?? Thanks for anyone that can help me get this damn thing set like it was PERFECTLY before I brought it in for its 40K service. Sorry to ramble here fols.

 

Couple of things come to mind. One is to check your profile settings. Another concerns the stop/start battery replacement.

First check your car's "profile", if you haven't alredy done so. When you start up you car, the profile consistent with your key fob is used by the infotainment screen. The name associated with the key fob is displayed, as well. Mine states my name, as opposed to my wife, who has her own key. In Settings\Profile, a number of things are stored, including radio settings, that are associated with a key fob. Check the radio settings.

Although it's debated by some, my understanding is that Volvo recommends having a dealer use VIDA software when replacing the stop/start battery. Since you had the 40k service done at the dealer, along with the battery change, perhaps they did not use VIDA correctly when changing the battery. As a 2019 model, the car comes with a 4 year/50K mile new car warranty. I believe your car falls within the warranty criteria. IMO, go back to the dealer and politely ask that the issue be addressed, which can be traced to the battery replacement. If the dealer states that they cannot find the problem, again, politely ask if they could contact Volvo for assistance in resolving your concern.

When the dealer takes the car into their repair shop, they should give you a printout that includes your statement regarding how the car is workin. This will be useful if/when you find the need to contact Volvo directly. Good luck.

 

Most cars I have owned (actually, all I think) with Homelink, the Homelink is a separate unit. And pressing and holding buttons 1 and 3 for a while (check the manual) will reset it.

I have done some research on this for a different reason. Late 2019 s90 inscription plus T5. Heater on without engine parking climate option on the watch app

turns out if the battery is not fully charged things start to stop working.

I tested my battery and it was low but not low enough to cause battery low warning. Most of the things other than parking climate would not work every time.

anyway charging the battery over a few days to condition it while not using it. Day 4 now and should be done by end of day today. I will update but yes start stop would also stop working of the battery is low enough.
