I am hopping to for some solid advice on a trouble code for bank one running Rich trouble code. The light comes on then goes off on its own only to come back on. Any suggestions on a diagnostic that tells me more than its running rich?

 

Please advise the exact fault code number you saw, so I can look this up in the book for you. Volvo gives a list of codes and the descriptions are much more technical than that.

I *think* I know what fault you are talking about, but not sure. The procedure to rectify includes checking MAF, intake leaks, exhaust leaks, fuel pressure and regulator... I'll go into it more once you verify the fault code number.

 

It was a pluged vacuum line and soft elbows comming off the pcv box I changed them and the light went out instantly on start up . The bad news is afterwards like a week later after the check light went out on its own it developed a tick at idle that goes away with acceleration but no check engine light comes on. To check the the light I pull a coil pack off a plug & get a misfire code so the light still works.

 

Tick at idle, that vanishes at increased rpm, suggests problem with engine oil fill or lubrication system.
