Steering wheel noise and drag
My steering column is making a dull grinding noise in my 2018 Volvo V90 T6 cross country with 58,000 miles. .
The noise cannot be heard outside, under the car nor under the hood. You can only hear it inside the car. A stethoscope confirms it is coming from the steering column. The car makes the noise when the steering wheel is turned either way, stopped or turning in low speed. I can’t tell if it makes the noise at higher speeds. The steering wheel also feels like there is a drag when turning the wheel at low speed.
I have an appointment at the dealer next week.
Anyone else have any similar experience? Or know what it is?
Seems like this should be a warranty item even though I don’t have an extended warranty.
