I can't get our 1998 S90 out of park without pressing the override switch. This has been an intermittent problem but now it is all the time. The selector lock will not depress with the car in park. It can be depressed in all other positions. If I am depressing the selector switch when I put it in park I can move the selector out of park. I have been told to check the brake lights. They are working but I have also been told that the switch was two stage and that one is for the brakes and the other for the transmission lock.
