'97 1.9 TD Cold start/tach/AC problem
I have a problem cold starting my Volvo. The tachometer, AC and rear windshield wiper also stopped working. All of this happened at the same time. The rest of the instrument cluster works.
The problem started with a dead battery. As I was getting a boost, the car blew some fuses. I replaced the battery and the blown fuses and the car started. I also had to replace the 120 fuse responsible for preheating, without it most of the electrical in the car did not work.
In the morning the car takes 5 or 6 cranks to starts, unless it is very hot outside, then it takes 1 or 2 cranks to start. After I start the car it needs a couple of minutes to warm up and get up to full power. The rest of the day the car will start without a problem. I noticed that the preheat light is not on when I try to start the car.
I checked all the fuses and changed the ones that needed replacing. Everything seems connected under the hood.
Any suggestions ?
