Default 97 model v40 powersteering pump compatability? HELP!

Hi guys,
great to be posting my first topic here!
just yesterday I bought a v40 here in the Philippines with some issues.
the power steering pump has died and I need to replace it.
Im hoping to fit a pump from a different vehicle onto it.
can anyone tell me if this is possible?

I have a few concerns:
will a replacement pump have to run the same pressure/flow rate?
and would the pully size affect operation?
I dont know much about hydraulics so am new to this.

Theres plenty of 'surplus/second hand pumps here (but not volvo), and I dont know what would be interchangable.

(repairing the pump isnt an option as some local mechanic had a new bush machined and seal fitted but this lasted 10mins and spat the seal badly damaging the shaft).

any help greatly appreciated!
