My power steering fluid is about a 1/4 bellow the min mark. I looked up a 1989 Volvo 240 manuel off the internet(which is what my car is...a 1989 Volvo 240) and it saids to use ATF for the fluid. I just bought a bottle of STP Power Steering Fluid. Can I use that instead? I can't tell what's in there already. Would it hurt if I added the STP Powersteering fluid with the fluid that is already in there?

 

That will work fine.

 

Its all the same ****. You can use ATF as well.
