Air Mass Sensor PLEASE HELP
So my fiancees car won't idle and we took it by Autozone and they said I need a new Mass air sensor...only problem is I don't know where it is located under the hood. Can anyone please help me with this. Pictures or anything will help
omgosh looks like it happens to mine too! yesterday I went to the mechanic and he pointed out my MAF screwed up (bad cold start... don't ask.) it is located at the right side... you should see a battery near the passenger side front lights, and somehow next to it you should see some sorta inlet hose whatever connected to the engine. in between... that's the thing.
I assume yours is North American spec 1.9T right?

Thanks for the reply...
But I read up and saw that if it was the MAF that once you unplug it, the car should atleast start up and stay crunk..so once I unplugged it and it still wouldn't work we decided to bite the bullet and take it into the dealership. Turns out it was the Idol Control Valve and fuel regulator. $750 later it's running fine!

Mine is actually having MAF, thermostat, coolant (and what else?) replaced, CDN$740 and now it's running. I would suggest to get gasoline that has least ethanol content possible, perferably Shell V-Power 91... see if it helps too in winter.
