Clunking and rattling noice in reverse

Clunking and rattling noice in reverse
Hi, will i Know this question has been ask before, but still no luck
I have a 2001 V40 Auto with 200k on the clock, I have started to notice when I put in into reverse, that sometimes there is a clunking sound from the driver’s side front wheel, and then only when in reverse from the drivers front side wheel a tapping metal on metal sound but i have not been able to work out what it is and the garage i went to had no idea, at the same time when i accelerate there is a slight vibration from the front as well, so i am guessing it could all hang together, can someone give me a tip what to look for,
