Hissing Noice on the Freeway
Hi, I just registered in this forum, after purchasing my first Volvo two months ago. Hope it will be enjoyable journey.
I bought a new 2012 XC60 3.2. Soon after driving it, I noticed that the car makes a hissing noise when the speed reaches about 70 mph on the freeway. This high-pitch noise sounds like air is leaking from somewhere. Tried opening and closing each window, but the hissing noise persists no matter if the windows are open or closed.
It has panorama roof. When the roof is open, the wind noise is too big to tell if the hissing noise is gone or not.
I talked to the dealer, but they need to test drive it to pinpoint the problem. But before I waste time with the dealer, I want to seek some advice on this issue here. Thanks!

Hi, i purchased my 2012 XC60 a little over a month ago. I have this exact same problem. I actually just got the car back from the dealer and they said "no problem found/normal turbulence"
My noise is exactly as you describe. What i think will be our challenge here is that the noise is kind of subtle but imo enough to be unacceptable in a brand new luxury type vehicle.
Appreciate if you have any advice or updates and maybe just gathering more similar stories is the best path to getting this fixed.
