I loaned my 2000 v40 to my brother for 18 months....just got the car back and noticed at night that the heater ***** are not back-lit...
Seems strange that the ***** would be dark but I cant remember for sure if indeed these were ever lit? Any comments are appreciated.

 

Yes, they're lit. I have the same problem but haven't got around to figuring out how to get at the bulbs.

3 bulbs are behind the *****.......bluish color, site mentions changing all three as a matter-of-course...wondering if anyone had a exploded diagram of the dash.
