My wife bought a 2005 V-50 Wagon used, and we're trying to figure out if it is AWD or not. It is an automatic transmission, and from what I've seen online, it looks like only the 6-speed manual Turbo is AWD.

Is there an easy way to tell by looking at the car?

(My wife bought it from its second owner, who doesn't know the answer to this question...)

Automatics came in awd too. Easy way to check is get under the back of the car and if youve got axles going to your rear wheels then youve got yourself a awd.

 

I thought all AWD had the 'AWD' written in the back.
