I have Volvo V50 - 2009
I would like to ask about an annoying rattle coming from direction of right side door (not UK car). It sound like a shim rattling over something. When I was listening, I found that the rattle comes more precisely from direction of a right front wing. I already checked the doors and mirror and everything is fine. The sound appears when I drive on highways more than 120km/h.

I had found that my power brake pump mounts had shrunk and the pump was rattling. I made some rubber shims out of some scrap rubber that I had around to tighten it up.

Tomorrow I will check the power brake pump. I hope it will work, because this rattle really drive me nuts.

 

Today my local mechanic repaired my car rattle issue. As much as I understand him, there was a problem at door hinge area. There were missing some-kind of plastic plugs to attach seal. But I am not sure which seal... the one inside door or the one between wing and door. He was just showing me at door hinge area

Anyway, now is real pleasure to drive on highway

Hope this thread will help to other Volvo users, if they have same rattle issue.
