I just bought my wife a '05 v50 t5 with 109k miles. It was bought from a private party and he said he had a battery installed same day and blower motor stopped working. Everything else is working just not the blower. I have read about the entire climate control losing power but not just the blower. Could it be a software issue or do you think it is infact a faulty blower? Please any info is good info.

 

Most likely just the blower (might not have had anything to do with a battery swap). IIRC, it's not difficult to drop the blower motor, and then it's just a matter of seeing if you have 12 volts at the plug (if you do, and the fan doesn't run, it's clearly a bad fan motor). And of course, it's always possible that the fan is full of leaves and debris.
