Default No heat in V50

I've had my V50 for about a year. When I tried the heat recently, there is none. The fan blows only cold air no matter how the temperature is adjusted. Heat worked perfectly last winter. Any ideas. Thanks.

Have you had to add coolant at all during the past year, or any kind of work done? I know from my old Maxima that any air in the cooling system can cause poor performance out of the heater. OT: With my year Maxima the heater core was in the highest part of the cooling system (bad because if any airwas in the system, it would collect there; and it made bleeding the air out a real pain.

Anyway, my tip would be check/top up the overflow tank (when the car is cool, of course) if it looks low. Beyond that, perhaps a bad thermostat?

If its under warranty try your dealer. It could be a calibration problem/ software upgrade related to the HVAC system.

would u mind if I ask if u have erattic door function issues (like window will quit working, locks may not lock and or odd reading of ambient temperature shown on information center)? The reason I ask is that if ambient temp does not corrospond (sensor clips on to oustside door mirror) can affect a/c or heater function. If possible ask if dealer can check it out. Volvo have actually launch a recall for greasing connector if it doesn't work will need to replaced door connector on vehicle's chassis and the whole wiring harness inside door. (gold plated connector may be the updated versions of the connectors) hope this help
