V50 Keyless start
Hi,
I have a 2011 V50. My nephew, who owns an S60, gave me a spring-loaded **** that fits in the key slot and is supposed to enable me to start the car without taking the key out of my pocket. I can't seem to get it to work, I just get a "key error" message. Is there a procedure to enable the car to use this button? Or is my car just not equipped with that option?
Thanks!

No, there isn't. I think I've figured out that the proximity sensors that enable the keyless entry to work are also what enable the keyless start, and my car doesn't have the sensors. I assume the absence of the button on the handles indicates that. Am I right?
