This is my first summer with my 02 v70 so apologize if this is a dumb question. On several occasions now in the hot weather I have noticed that the blower is running with the engine off and the car just sitting there. Can anyone clue me in on this behavior. Thanks in advance.

Never mind; I just found the answer in an online owners manual which says that 50 minutes after shutting down, the blower may
come on to reduce condensation.

 

does yours run with the key out of the ignition, i am having a similiar problem but i think mine is a control problem as sometime the motor runs and will not shut off, even with key out of ignition for 20 min, and also i lose control of the motor once it sits for a while, when it first turns on cold it works for a bit but once running for a while no matter what the speed dial is set at the speed does nor change.. some times it will not work

I'm thinking one or combination of the # things:

-motor
-controller
-speed control resistors

have anyone seen similar problems, to get the motor to stop i pull the 30A fuse and it shuts off some times when i put it back in ir will run again or stop it's not consistent (seems like a sticky relay)

That is NOT a problem as O'Rielly Is God stated. If you have a different problem other than what was listed in the 1st post, start a new thread.

I would have to state my opinion that the title of this thread is 02 V70 - HVAC fan running with engine off? is exactly the same as my problem. Not the same cure for his as mine but it is the same problem as one of mine.

I found this thread using the search function and found a title to a thread with the same problem I had, yes he had different symptoms and my symptoms are different but if someone was able to answer or shed some light on my situation and my problem and as we know oreillyisgod's problem was solved,wouldn't that be better for a searching database if anyone were to have the same problem down the road?
