Default 1999 V70XC Rough Idle in Park or Nuetral

When in Park or Nuetral the idle goes up and down from 700 to 900 and back down to 700. Any ideas of what I should look for...Vacuum leak?

Hello, On a 13 year old car it's always smart to look for a vacuum leak. Replace all the vacuum lines while you're at it; doubtless they need it. Your engine hunting for idle could be a sign of the ETM failing. Do a search on the subject. If the ETM is worn out Xemodex is a company which offers a rebuild service which is cheaper than buying another original style ETM. There is a software download which addresses some of the symptoms. It was offered as a service campaign in the States and was free of charge. Take your VIN to a dealer and ask if it's been done. Kira

Default Ruff idle

Common problems can include but not limited to bad plug/plugs, bad plug wires, coil paks, clogged fuel filters, dirty MAF sensor & air cleaner.
Inspection, replacement and cleaning important. Only clean MAF sensors with EFI cleaner, not carb cleaner as it can damage the MAF. The little port, cleaned with cotton swab in MAF really helps. Inspecting all rubber components for cracks, intake gaskets for leaks important. Simple test: engine warmed up all connections tight. Spray carb cleaner methodically from one side of engine to the other slowly listening for rev changes & observing engine movement, will give you a good idea what is going on.

Thanks...I will look into the mentioned items. I was thinking a vacuum leak.

When the car is cold the idle holds at 800 ish with out moving up or down but when warmed up it has a rough idle
