Hi all.

So I have a 2000 V70 with the winter package (heated mirrors and seats and Winter mode). I bought the car around $7,000 last May and have put on about 7500 miles. The car runs great and so far has been hassle free!

I have already replaced the base radio which just had cassette with a cassette and cd player version - it was an easy swap. But are there there any other cool mods that people have done to their cars? Mine is sort of just getting boring to drive, so adding something to it might be fun!

Thanks

Hello, What trim level is your car? How many miles total? If it has a turbocharged engine there are various stages of tuning you can install right out of a box. IPD has a good website (ipdusa[dot]com). There are others. Since your car is a P1 there's a greater chance of lower prices; be it a sale or just "move it out" pricing. Exhaust systems are available for your car. You can play with suspension prefferences from several companies. If you look at Volvo website car ads you'll see lots of modded cars. Ask them what they did. If your car is a non-turbo there isn't too much to do except maybe one of those silly (to me anyway) cold air conical filter intakes. BUT, if you have no taste at all, you can buy those sticky paper overlays for the dashboard and door panel accents. Have you seen that stuff? Good Luck with the real mods. Kira

Thanks for the response!

But I was thinking more in terms of the interior and gadgets like Sirius radio, navigation, etc.

Gadgets are only limited by your imagination.
1. Auto tilt mirrors
2. Backup camera
3. Car PC
4. Cooling/massaging/heated seats
5. Keyless push button start,RFID
6. Homelink visor to get rid of garage door opener
7. iPod adapter to use w/ factory radio
Just think up something you would like to do.

Ok.

So lets start with the stereo system. Has anyone ever upgraded the stock cd/cassette player to a in-dash unit with a flipscreen? I have been looking on eBay and it seems that there are alot of alpine and pioneer systems that are up for sale. The space in the console where the radio is, is quite large so I might even be able to fit a whole screen in there.

It would be neat if its a stereo/nav system as well!

Any thoughts are appreciated!
