I'm looking to do a manual swap in the near future on a 2001 t5. I'm not sure which transmissions will work though - the 6 speed from the R, m66 is what I'd like to put in, but I'm not very well versed in mechanics to know if it'd fit, with the R being awd and all. If it wouldn't , would any 5 speed from 01-07 work, or would it have to be from a specific trim? Also, other than axles / clutch / shifter / pedals / flash tune, what else would be needed to get the job done? Also, if anyone has any resources from others that have done this I'd appreciate it - I've looked quite a bit and can't find a definite answer for much of this. Thanks for looking.
