Default 2001 V70 T5 Service Manual and oil questions?

I cant find service manual cause in the Owner's Manual it doesn't specify much about the things i need to know to be able to service the car myself.

I just wanted to change oil and needed to know how many quarts to put in, which brand is recommended as well as which size and what brand of filter to put in. Never got that info out of the Owners Manual.

By the way i found on Wiki - how many quarts, its 6 quarts, does everyone concur with that?

Also Fram and STF oil filters (only ones in AUTOZONE and PEPBOYS) are crazy expensive. Where do i get the best deal and which other filters can i use on the Volvo?

I got Shell oil, fully synthetic 10w - 30 on sale at BJ's for $22, great deal huh, im just wondering about Service Manual as a first time owner of the Volvo i would love to do some repairs on it myself.

6.1quarts of oil.
Turbo's work good with synthetic oils. buy what ever oil filter you see at autozone STP is ~$12, mobil1 might be cheaper.
We use 5w-30 in the R.

Wait for the experts to get on.

DO NOT buy Fram filters. They are extremely poorly built and cheap...there's a reason they are Wal-Mart's brand of choice. Go with Mobil 1 or similar...I assume they make a cartridge-type filter for these models. On the oil, Mobil 1 makes a great synthetic, as well as Shell.

Yes they make the cartridge-type filters.
