Default 2008 Repairs Under Warranty

My 2008 V70 3.2 just turned 1 year old and 5k miles. Here are the repairs needed so far (and I'm relieved I didn't need to pay for any of them...each would have been expensive):

1. Headlamp exploded. Shattered glass from the bulb scratched the reflector. Complete headlamp assembly replaced.

2. Drooping headliner. The headliner separated from the back of the sunroof molding. The first repair attempt simply replaced the sunroof molding. The headliner soon "re-untucked" itself. It was clear that the headliner was improperly cut at the factory. The second repair replaced the entire headliner.

3. Non-adjustable rear view mirror. Any adjustment of the mirror resulted in it snapping back to its original setting. Complete rear view mirror assembly replaced (a $398 item).

That's it so far, although I'm wondering if the constant low hissing noise I hear that stops when I step on the brake is another issue. Oh...and the transmission that seems to hold the 1st two gears slightly too long before upshifting.

17 city, 27 highway.

What failures are others seeing in 2008-2010 V70s?

tighthams;

I've got a 2008 V70 as well and have also,
1) had the r/v mirror replaced
2) noticed the slow shift to 2nd

My new mirror has been installed for 6+ months with no additional problems, but have not done anything about the slow gear shifting.

Do you have an update to this post?

Thanks

No update on the transmission. The car only has 8K miles, so I will see if a software/firmware update is available at the next service.

Meanwhile, I'm still flogging my 95 850 Turbo wagon around the US. 185K and all kinds of stuff wrong with it. Keeps running though.
