Default !999 V7o----Woe is me??

I have a 1999 V70 with 160xxx miles which I just got back from having the automatic transmission replaced with a refurbished one. Prior to that, I had installed an XeMODeX replacement ETM and an ABS control module. All of this work was to fix a problem with the car going into"safe" mode while the speedometer, tachometer stops working.

Can anyone tell me if the transmission being replaced requires a some sort of dealer reset or software change.

I appreciate any/all comments.
Richard

Can the TCM be reseated? I took the cover off but didn't see a release lever to allow unplugging and reseating
