Default Automatic trick

Hi all

Just thought I would share this. Along with my Seafoam "experiment" I also tried some of this stuff ... http://www.lubegard.com/automotive/trans_atf.html and I highly recommend it for everyone else with the crappy Auto/Tip boxes in the early P2s. It feels a whole lot smoother than it did before, even the clunck I get when car decides to switch from N to D (when starting to accelerate) feels less harsh.

Peace.

Do you just add it to the tranny via the dipstick hole? Wouldn't that overfill the tranny oil level? Thanks.

I think the idea is to put it in after you have flushed the gearbox, but I didn't know about it when I did mine a couple of months back. I had to drain a little bit out to compensate. It is very little though, something like 10oz
