I cannot open my back hatch on my 2000 V70. I can unlock it with the remote and I have also unlocked it through the inside but when I pull on the latch handle from the outside, it will not open. Is there a child lock on the back hatch that might have accidently been switched? If so, how do I get to it if I can't open the hatch door? Can I open it from the inside? I also noticed that I do not have a key hole on my back latch, is this an option? THanks- Dan

 

Is it the New or old body style 2000 model?

Is there a handle inside the car to open it?

 

Old Body style. No latch on inside. Can't figure it out- Think I will take it to my mechanic Tuesday. Thanks- Dan

 

The panel will have to be pryed off to get the tail gate open.
