Default Battery dies

Hello

I have a 2001 Volvo v70

I have been chasing a dead battery issue for about three weeks now, basically when I park the car at night the battery is low or dead In the morning (maybe dead 2 out of 7 days and at random times). I checked the battery, and then replaced. I checked the alternator and is working fine. I

I have noticed that items in the centre consol continue to run randomly. 3 days ago when I parked I sat in the car and the CD player kept spinning after the car was turned off, and today the blower motor was still running after I went shopping for 30 minutes.

Anyone have something like this Befor

Thanks

what I'd do is start to measure current draw with the key off - use a multimeter and pull each fuse to see which circuit paths are drawing current. Start by measuring the current draw between the battery and the positive. It should be small - like .02A. If you see a much bigger number, the next thing is to do is start pulling fuses. Once you find a fuse that drops the current draw, you can start checking out whatever is on that circuit. Now if you have random items staying powered (ie you noted the blower (not the radiator fan?) or the CD/radio, then I'd suspect the ignition switch - next time you turn off the key and something runs on (other than the radiator fan which is designed to run after the key is off is the temp sensor is reading high) try wiggling the key. You can use a wiring diagram (volvowiringdiagrams.com) to match up which fuses are fed via the key position and which are not.
