my wife has a nice 2002 V70XC that was shut off in the driveway and 45 minutes or so later the fan is still blowing full blast. Cycle the key and it shuts off. Minor issue #2 what is the trick to keep the rear position light on??? thanks!

 

Hello, The blower fan runs to dry the evaporator. It's a great feature to program into the car's electronics in my opinion. Do a search on this or any other Volvo board to read the varying answers to people's blower and cabin air filter questions. Only once did I read a post involving a stuck relay which caused the fan to run until the battery died. Regarding your #2 issue: I don't know of any way to turn the rear parking lights on independently of the fronts. A low consumption LED setup would be great for parking/position lights. Kira

 

so it should run right? With the lights I just meant that no matter what i do They won't work at all . Warning light stays on Position Bulb Failure.

 

Hello, I can't for the life of me discern what you're trying to say. Do you want to turn the rear parking lights on? You have a "Position Bulb Failure" notice? WHATZUP? After reading the manual ask at a dealership if the head light switch can be programmed to do what you want. Regarding the Position Bulb Failure; at night have someone step on the brake and see if the number of bulbs match on both sides of the car. Remember, if an old blackened but working bulb is in the car you can get such a notice. Kira
