Default Boiling Power Steering fluid

My father's 2001 V70. He claims a curious situation regarding "boiling power steering fluid"

Anyone ever heard of this?

Thanks for any insight.

Rick

Default RE: Boiling Power Steering fluid

well its gonna get hot. I only noticed that when my power steering rack used to leak. Might have been gettign to hot from being low. I dont pay much attention to it anymore now that I got my new steering rack installed. But I would imagine as with and oil/liquid in teh car, its gonna get very hot if the car runs for awhile. It may just bubble alittle and not actually be boiling.
