Default Brake Booster Question

I replace the brake booster with a used one matched to my car (2002 V70 with DSC) the used booster came with a pedal position sensor but the plug would not fit the sensor. The used sensor has a two blade connector and the original sensor has a three pin connector. I replaced the used sensor with the originalsensor. The only difference between the two besides the connection was the length of the "probe". The used one was shorter than the original one. There are no console mesages and the brakes work great, no more hissing. Is this going to be an issue with the DSC or any other functions. The only remedy I can see would be to purchase a new plug and modify the wiring to accept it.

Any thoughts?

Default RE: Brake Booster Question

It shouldn't be an issue. I have never tried but should be fine.

Can anyone give me advice on how to change the brake pedal position sensor? I damaged mine while installing the brake booster.
I see there is a metal retaining ring. How do you get it out without damaging the surrounding plastic?
