When I accelerate moderatly (at least moderate in my impression) the A/C compressor shuts off untill you stop accelerating. Is this as designed or is something going on with the car? I know that many cars have this feature but it happens a little to regular for me. Even the brief shut down has an effect on the comfort level when it is 100 degrees and 100% humidity.

If this is as designed is it possible to adjust the setting so that it only happens under truely hard acceleration?
