Default Check engine light on, hesitates when starting

Hi, I have a 05 V70 non turbo with a check engine light that would come on once in awhile (usually if I had the cruise on at 40mph for an extended period) but now is staying on. Auto Zone read the code as P0106 (MAP/BARO or MAF/VAF sensor condition) I took out and cleaned the MAF but it is still staying on. Also the engine hesitates just for a second when you start it. Any advice would be really appreciated. The car has about 75,000 Miles on it and has had no work done to it except regular maintainece. Thanks!

The mass flow might be going bad.

I have the exact same problem.
Except my check engine light comes on every few weeks... stays on for a week ... then goes away. When its on, the gas needle drops like a rock and I can run through a tank in 2-3 days of light driving. I went ahead and ordered a new MAP sensor from Rockauto for just under $100 but the light has since gone off. I went out of town and the light was still off. Got great gas mileage too. I dont want to replace the MAP sensor if its not the problem nor do i want to replace it before I absolutely have to.
Someone just mention a Mass Flow sensor.... which gives me pause...
How do I know which is causing the problem?

I have a 2004 (P2) s60 and dont suffer from the hesitation or stalls that are common with vacuum leaks.
Thanks

Would someone do me a BIG FAVOR and help me find where the MAP sensor goes on my 2004 S60 B5244S? I was out this morning about to change it when I realized the the diagram that the dealer gave me was NOT for the MAP sensor. Its for a sensor on the end of the fuel rail. My spidey-senses should have off when he handed me the diagram but, of course, it failed me yet again.

Thanks in advance

Okay, I found where the MAP sensor is located.
I checked out the vacuum diagram located on the underside of my hood.
Its right on top of the fan bolted under the metal grill. I'm adding pics for the benefit of others.
It was not completely clear where it was but I found it.
The bolt that holds it is shown in the pic too. The bolt/hole is immediately to the right of the fan warning label.
Thanks a lot folks.
