Default Climate sensoe in dash on all the time

hi all
ive got a 2000 v70 on the new shape with ECC, i have noticed my climate sensor fan in the dash is running all the time even after the key has been removed, is it ment to do this, i have waited for 10 mins but it did not switch off, so i have disconnected it as i was worried about the battery going flat, if its not ment to do this what do you think is wrong, i was not sure if it was a sensor or climate panel fault or if it was ment to do that.
can any one help please

excuse the poor typing

Can not answer your question just yet. Does not seem to me it should keep running like that. I am not any expert on this but I have just finished replacing my AC Evaporator and Heater core and am in the process of getting it all going again.

I have my ACC temperature sensor out of my 98 V70XC AWD now because it was not running at all. It is full of dirt/lint. Going to clean it well and hope it will run and fix my AC/Recir blinking lights when I first start my car. I will let you know what I find out on mine in a day or so.

Sorry for so long in getting back. My ECC sensor (fan part) doesn't run at all even after I cleaned it. I feel pretty confident in saying that the fan part should stop running when you turn your key off.
