Codes P1332 & P0133 - emissions failed
I have a 1999 V70XC with 157k miles. Recently the car has been throwing these two codes.
P1332 = camshaft reset valve code
P0133 = front O2 sensor slow read, bank 1
Often the codes would clear themselves, but would return pretty much the same day. Regardless if I clear them with the scanner or not, they will come back.
I tested the CVVT solenoid and found the resistance at 5.9ohms, it should be 3.7ohms from what I read. Also, this will occasionally throw a P0013, whch also relates to the CVVT solenoid. Given this information, I have bought a new solenoid from FCP Groton.
Now, I am wondering since the CVVT has some effect on timing which can relate to emissions, could replacing this hopefully correct the diagnostic code coming from the O2 sensor?
I should also add that I got this car very cheaply at $1000, after the owner had already replaced the rear tranny, starter, timing belt, alternator and A/C compressor. He could not get the car to run as it was miss firing and running roughly. I diagnosed that the ETM and two coilpacks needed to be replaced. Seeing this, I purchased it because it would be an all wheel drive upgrade from the 850 wagon my dad is driving. After getting the Xemodex ETM and coilpacks, this car is running like a champ.
