Cold Weather causing "Door Open" warning
It's colder than ever here in Michigan lately, and our '09 V70 (P3) thinks that the driver's side rear passenger door is open. The latch still works, and the door is closed, but I assume whatever sensing switch mechanism must have some frozen moisture preventing a correct status reporting to the central computer. I don't see anything obvious in the door frame near the latch, but short of pulling the door card off to spray the sticky switch, where can I spray it down with some WD-40?
My DIC displayed "Door Open" while I was driving to work today, and my interior lights started to come on as if I had opened the door with the engine running. I was traveling roughly 70 mph around a small right-hand bend. I simply pulled on the door a little bit, and it vanished without releasing anything.
