I have a 2004 V70 2.5T. About 4 months ago the Daytime Running Lights just shut off. The Hid lights are now on all the time. The fuses are good and so are the bulbs? we also checked the Daylight sensor and it is fine as well. No codes are being thrown. any ideas?

 

Ok so your V70 is running HID's stock? It doesn't really matter if they are stock or aftermarket...

DRL's are the same as LOW beam... If your HID's are in the LOW beam position they will be on as DRL's and when you turn over to LOW beam they are on as your LOW beams.

 

They used to switch back and forth depending on the amount of sunlight. I have them set to Auto. One day they never came back on.

 

There's a photo sensor on the dash for the "auto" setting. Wonder if that went.

Not necessarily.

 

Is that the one with the Red Led? If so we tried that and it did not work either.
