I haven't been on this forum long and only been a Volvo owner for a month but I have learned a great deal from the members here in that time.

I have finished my air intake and thought I would show you.

i'd be inclined to leave the factory air intake pipe that feeds the original air box in place, that way more "cold air" is available to the new filter. similarly if it seals on the bonnet will work better as you force it to find air not from the hot side.

Aside from that looks like a great start, lots of wooshing sounds now!!!

yeah I left all the original pipes in their original places so the air intake from the grill still feeds under the cone. the shield seals on the bonnet on the top but I have no idea of determining if there is any performance gain, it does feel like it breaths better though.
