Default Driver Side door /window console electrical problem!

Own a 2001 V70XC that has an intermittant problems with the drivers side master control console, (window, mirrors, control override, locks). The problem is that the control module does work all the time. It clicks for about 5 minutes (shorting out?) rendering it useless. Eventually this stops and then the control panel works fine... While the drivers control is not functional (clicking/shorting?), the other door control consoles work fine. Any idea on the problem and a low cost fix.

I've had the door apart and have dissambled the driver door control console module -> did not see any signs of a short.

The module is usually bad when that happens.

Some people have installed used ones and they worked. But you are supposed to get a new one and have it programmed to your car.
