Hello, A few details would help people match their experiences to yours, such as year, model mileage. My driver's window did that twice in a week and I freaked. At the time I read that locking and unlocking the doors with the remote cured all manner of ills by making the car's many brain ganglia talk to each other. I didn't believe it either but thought I had nothing to lose. I can't tell you if it worked or not but the window hasn't done it again. As always, be certain your battery is up to snuff. Regarding the door panel: I've always just seen two big screws in the armrest and another in the plastic backing dish for the door release. You just have to hold the interior handle out so you can reach it. Kira
